We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in the Private Equity and Investment Management domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in canonical data modeling, Azure Databricks (Medallion Architecture), and financial data governance. This role requires close collaboration with data engineering, business stakeholders, and product owners to design scalable, accurate, and consistent data solutions for enterprise-wide usage.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement canonical data models to support private equity and investment business processes.
Develop logical and physical data models aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy.
Work within Azure Databricks Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) to design efficient and scalable data flows.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement models and optimize performance.
Gather requirements from business stakeholders and product owners; translate them into robust data models.
Ensure data standardization, lineage, and governance across applications and integrations.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of data models, metadata, and business definitions.
Provide thought leadership on canonical modeling, financial data integration, and cloud-based data architecture.
Required Qualifications & Skills
8-12 years of experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar data architecture role.
Strong domain expertise in Private Equity, Investment Management, or Asset Management (fund structures, portfolio data, investor reporting, valuations).
Proven expertise in canonical models and developing logical/physical data models.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks & Medallion architecture.
Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.
Knowledge of financial data standards and regulatory reporting frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Must-Have Experience
Private Equity / Investment domain expertise.
Cloud-based architecture (Azure preferred).
Financial regulatory reporting knowledge.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
